EdTech Fellowship by Cambridge and HP opens in South and Southeast Asia
Cambridge and HP are expanding their successful fellowship programme to senior education leaders working on digital transformation in South and Southeast Asia.
Cambridge and HP have now launched a third cohort of the HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship. Senior government and organisation leaders working on digital education transformation in South and Southeast Asia are invited to apply. There are ten scholarships available.
As technology is rapidly changing the face of teaching and learning around the world, the latest UNESCO reports show that now is the crucial moment for education in South and Southeast Asia. Technology is widely recognised as an empowering tool that can improve access to and quality of education, but to be effective, it needs to be approached strategically.
Collaboration across borders
The Fellowship aims to help leaders improve education access, quality and relevance. Studying in person and online, leaders explore evidence-based approaches, user-centric design principles and collaborative learning.
"The learning experience is rich and engaging. What is even more fascinating is discovering how similar the challenges we face are across borders. This programme is equipping us with valuable knowledge and experiences that will help us overcome obstacles and thrive in the future."
Since its launch in 2023, the fellowship has welcomed over 40 participants. The first graduates' projects are set to impact over 200,000 teachers and almost 18 million students in sub-Saharan Africa alone.
Building a network of innovators
The fellowship emphasises a knowledge-sharing culture among its alumni.
"The community our fellows have created is something truly special. Leaders from South and Southeast Asia will bring new depths to this network."
"The fellowship helps individuals sharpen their vision and toolbox to use education technology impactfully and equitably. HP is focused on driving multi-faceted education programmes to provide quality learning, digital upskilling and capacity building across student, education and policy maker levels. South and Southeast Asia is a hub of education innovation, and I am excited to see the results of our collaboration to accelerate equal education for all."
Applications for the fellowship are open until 28 April
